Our centre opens. The children are happy to be here, and we’re always excited to see them. Along with their class friends, our team welcomes each child as a central member of our community.
Early in the day, while they settle in, the children enjoy our indoor and outdoor programs where they can interact with kids from other classrooms.
It’s morning tea time. Prepared by our Oak Tree Academy chef, our nutritious, delicious chef-made meals fuel the children for their adventures.
Our play-based learning activities shine at this time of day. Working toward learning goals co-created by children and educators, we build our daily program around individual strengths and curiosities. Engagement and excitement is high.
Around this point, we gather everyone for group time. It provides an important window for shared opportunities including singing, dancing, and stories.
Time for a yummy lunch selected from a seasonal menu created in consultation with Nutrition Australia. Full bellies make for better energy and focus.
It’s time to transition to rest or quiet time. Children need dedicated breathing space to relax and recharge their minds and body.
Another transition as we move from rest or quiet time back to our regular activities. It’s crucial to recognise this switch and not move too quickly from downtime.
Afternoon tea is served. Prepared by the Oak Tree Academy chef, fresh food makes this mealtime a fast favourite.
At this time of day, children continue with their activities inside or outside. We extend learning with extracurricular activities to strengthen individual exploration and friendships. And sometimes, we venture outside the centre into the community to introduce further discoveries and diversity.
The centre closes. It’s home time; your child will be buzzing with stories about their day, their friends, educators/teachers and their exploration of discovery through play.
